On Saturday, August 13, actor Kiefer Sutherland, best known as Jack Bauer from the TV show 24, attended a signing session in New York. He talked about his new country music album called Down in a Hole and autographed copies of the Vinyl version.
The actor/musician commented that he knows the stigma attached to actors who decide to start a music career, but he said he is prepared for any criticism he might receive. He added that he would not have the same confidence if he were 25, but that, at this moment of his life, he has learned to deal with all types of reaction.
Kiefer also said that the songs of the album are very personal and that he hopes people realize, through the lyrics, that he has the same problems and difficulties as anybody else. The only difference, according to him, is his financial condition, for which he is very grateful.
The album will be released on August 19, 2016. See some photos of the event, as well as of the actor greeting fans as he was leaving Barnes & Noble (including a picture with me!).
