Last Tuesday, September 6, the movie Sully had its red-carpet premiere in New York.
Directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks, the film tells the true story of pilot Chesley Sullenberger, nicknamed “Sully”, responsible for the successful landing of an airplane on Hudson River after a mechanical problem. All passengers survived and it became known as “Miracle on the Hudson”, with Sully being considered a hero in the country. The film, however, focuses on the investigation that followed the incident, which could harm the pilot’s reputation. It opens in the US on Friday, September 9.
