A big part of the experience of “watching movies,” for me, is actually going to a movie theater and watch it with real fans of that particular film to see their reaction. And that’s what I did yesterday when I went to a screening of “Avengers – Age of Ultron”. There were a lot of people in the audience dressed as Marvel characters and, during the screening, they would scream every time something exciting happened and also applauded many scenes (especially when characters appeared on the screen for the first time).

And they had plenty of reasons to be excited about. This sequel really lives up to the first movie. The amount of action sequences, great locations and amazing special effects are worth watching it. On top of that, we have a great cast, who deliver a good number of funny moments.

Without giving too much away, it’s possible to say that in this movie Tony Stark (the funny Robert Downey Jr.) tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program. Things, however, don’t go as planned and Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson, who was pregnant during the shooting!) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are put to the test again.

Again, without spoiling, I can say that I loved Ultron! I enjoyed his lines, especially with James Spader’s voice, and I love that he sings Pinocchio’s song “I’ve got no strings” (no, I hadn’t seen the trailer, so it was new to me).

To sum up, I believe this movie is as entertaining as the first one and it gives Marvel endless opportunities to keep this franchise.
